The Project
Project 1 (Fall 2023):
The Department of Social Services (DSS) required office furniture for its new facility, as many employees were transitioning back to on-site work following the COVID-19 pandemic. They contacted JMJ Workplace Interiors looking for high-quality, cost-effective workstations to support a smooth return to the office environment for the staff. When DSS was presented with the Sunline Select station, they knew it was the ideal solution to meet their needs. Installation of the 344 Sunline Select workstations, 39 private offices and 168 nesting chairs began in November of 2023.
Project 2 (September 2024):
In September 2024, DSS expanded their first floor, adding 83 additional Sunline Select workstations, 6 private offices, and 12 nesting chairs.
The Solution
DSS’s move into a newly renovated facility required an extensive, cost-effective workstation solution, fulfilled by the Sunline Select model. To manage the project’s scale, we divided it into three phases. Phase 1, which was the second floor, began November 6th, with the installation of 182 workstations and 16 private offices. Phase 2, which focused on the first floor, started December 10th, with 11 workstations, 1 private office, and 100 nesting chairs installed. Phase 3, covering the third floor, began December 23rd, adding 151 workstations, 22 private offices, and 68 nesting chairs.
The final 83 workstations, 6 private offices, and 12 nesting chairs were completed in September 2024, when the first-floor renovations were finished.
